Leather Straps, Cotton Canvas Webbing Carrying Adjustable Strap, Olive Drab Heavy Duty Rubberized Water Resistant Vinyl On The Outside, Brown Canvas Pouch With Two Compartments With One Small Inside Pocket. Leather Belt Loops Are At The Top For Attachment To A Belt For Hip Carrying.
The Bag Is Stamped "STAUB 83" Which Is The Sattler's Mark This Appears On The Leather Strap Securing The Canvas Pouch To The Outer Shell, This is Who Held The Military Contract For That Bag. The Bag Has A Soldier I.D. Tag Attached.
Swiss Soldiers Were Issued This Style To Carry Bread Rations From The 1940's-1980's
